See doc if long time: might be simply the time of yr and the lower humidity, which can cause dry lining of your nostrils and throat, precipitated by a bad cold. If this continues, it might be wise to see your doc to be evaluated more thoroughly.

Need exam by doc: Although most of the cases of nosebleed are from the nasal septum, the only way to tell is by direct exam. I can't tell if the blood in your mucus comes from your nose or your lungs , that's the reason why you need to consult your doctor.

Bloody nose: Nasal tissue is thin and rich in blood vessels. It is highly sensitive to humidity and a lack of it dries out, often with forced air heating in cold weather. There will be nasal blood with blowing, spotty not copious. Some blood may be aspirated from the nose into secretions which run back into the nasopharynx and then coughed up. IF, however, blood is consistently coughed, further exam is best.
