Prevent before: Having everyone in the infants environment vaccinated before flu season is one way. "Cocooning" those too young for the vaccine helps. Good hand washing and avoiding crowds is another. Once one gets it Tamiflu helps, but has side effects which limit use in very young. The flu does what it will do, if you get it there is little, including antivirals that can guarantee no pneumonia.

Natural remedies: Even better than preventing complications from flu is preventing the flu. Unfortunately this year's flu vaccine is only 10% effective and there's evidence those who get flu shots have increased risk of getting strains not covered by the vaccine (such as the strain currently circulating)! Vitamin C and herbs can prevent and treat flu and homeopathy can help too. See https://tinyurl.com/zeccbso
