A member asked:

What makes uyou ca125 go up ive had a total hysterectomy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Ovaries: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, CA 125 is a screening test for ovarian cancer, albeit not a good one. If you still have your ovaries, that may be the cause of elevated CA 125. you may visit this site for more info: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/ovarian-cancer/expert-answers/ca-125/faq-20058528
