Avoid Stilpane: Avoid using Stilpane as it contains codeine, opium and alcohol. Empaped contains the same ingredients as paracetamol (acetominophen). Fever is the body's response to infection. It doesn't need to be treated unless your child seems uncomfortable. Use paracetamol liquid to treat fever. Dosage of paracetamol (120 mg/5 ml) is 6 ml by mouth every 4 to 6 hours, maximum dose is 4 doses in 24 hours.

Stilpane ?: Stilpane has codeine in it, not a good choice for a 14 mo old infant - suggest you stop it immediately. Best treatment for fever is a simple anti-pyretic, empaped alone is fine, every 6-8 hrs and push clear fluids
