I have already had it lanced and drained and am taking 300 mg of clindamycin 4x daily for the last 7 days and it is still hard ?

Doctor can recheck: If a skin boil or abscess got lanced, but later is still firm and tender, or firm and warm and reddish, it usually means there is still infection and pus under the skin. That means going back to the doctor for a recheck and maybe a reopening to get any pus out and maybe leave gauze packing in the hole so that any drainage can get out... thus letting the hole heal from the bottom up.
