Preterm labor: Since you had a previous preterm delivery then you are at high risk. Your doctor will need to discuss your plan of care. Options may include Progesterone injections and cervical length monitoring. A family history should be obtained to clarify what you mean by “chronic conditions.” Depending on what those are testing may be warranted

Yes: Since you delivered your last baby at 28 weeks, your baby is at risk to be born prematurely. In the States we recommend progesterone injections to lower the risk of another premature birth. Best wishes!
