Probably not...: Any mother can of course have a Downs baby, but at your age it is highly unlikely, it usually occurs more often in mothers 35 years and older... Good luck with your new healthy baby.....

More likely not: One important thing for you to find out is the type of DS. Classical 21 trisomy DS would give you no more than about a 1% overall risk, which is above that expected from your age alone. If that baby has a rare form called translocation DS (<2%) your risk might be higher.Please clarify the type of DS and consider seeing a genetic counselor to clear up your concerns.
