Yes: you may have a scalp blood hematoma ; feel for an expanding lump at the site of the bruise. More of concern is an injury powerful enough to fracture the skull and cause bleeding beneath the skull putting pressure on the brain, subdural hematoma. see a physician if you have any doubts.
