Removal: Hi Lipomas that cause symptoms can be removed by a general surgeon. The method of removal is usually bedside but it depends on the size of the lipoma. Sometimes when the lipoma works its way into the muscle or connective tissue planes in your body, they need more invasive surgery rather than a simple bedside procedure.
