Painful lipoma: Some lipomas have sensation associated with them. Others develop over time. Cancer is #37 in our differential, so...really no. As this is a recent development, a visit to your dermatologist for evaluation and a possible ultrasound would be warranted. These are very easy to remove through a small excision in an outpatient setting. Ask about removal.
