5-year old in kindergarten, knew how to count up to 100. when given simple math concepts, was able to count to 1,000, could count backwards. initially did not understand concept of "before" but picked up the idea. normal?

5 y.o. who counts: Please talk to the child's teacher and ask how this behavior compare w/the other children. The child can be tested by a school psychologist. This information can help w/placement when he/she goes to first grade. Peace and good health.
