My 6 year old daughter has a bleeding ear which i noticed this morning. it is still bleeding and she has had grommets for the past 3 years now.

It happens: This sometimes happens as the grommets begin to detach from the eardrum. It could also represent a scratch in the canal. It would be worth a look for verification.
