My 11 year old daughter has had a sore throat, running nose and a bit of coughing for about 36 hours. she is now in tears complaining of a very sore ear. i got some coryx syrup for her this morning that she has had two doses of now. ?

Earache : Give ibuprofen and/or Tylenol, to control pain. Needs to see PCP, or minor emergency room to have her ear looked at ASAP. May need treatment.

Mgt: I would suggest a visit to the acute care center to rule out a possible pneumonia,Otitis Media infection. She may need to be treated with antibiotics. Has she had a fever? Please check her temperature, prior to giving Ibuprofen.
