In any female that fibroid results in miscarriage, will need to be evaluated for operative hysteroscopy or myomectomy prior to pregnancy. Fibroids & PG issue: Yes, Fibroids can interrupt a pregnancy via miscarriage if they are large or under the lining of the womb.(endometrium/sub mucosal) Fibroids can also cause premature delivery as they compete for intra- uterine space with the pregnancy. Estrogen powers the growth of fibroids and is in abundance during pregnancy. Fibroids should be removed prior to pregnancy for best outcomes.
