Fibroids: 33 yo female with history of fibroid. In about 80% females with fibroid can carry pregnancy to term without diffulties. In any female that fibroid results in miscarriage, will need to be evaluated for operative hysteroscopy or myomectomy prior to pregnancy. The use of medication such as depo Lupron to shrink fibroid is not recommended for anyone interested in conception. Good luck.

Fibroids & PG issue: Yes, Fibroids can interrupt a pregnancy via miscarriage if they are large or under the lining of the womb.(endometrium/sub mucosal) Fibroids can also cause premature delivery as they compete for intra- uterine space with the pregnancy. Estrogen powers the growth of fibroids and is in abundance during pregnancy. Fibroids should be removed prior to pregnancy for best outcomes.
