Gastroenterologist: Since typhoid can cause, not only intestinal bleeding, but perforation, I strongly recommend an evaluation by a gastroenterologist as appropriate testing for upper abdominal discomfort will be done. Possible testing may involve ultrasound, ct scan, upper endoscopy as well as testing of gall bladder,liver and pancreas. Abscess formation would be suspected if you have fever or sweats.
