Strain: Sesamoid bones can occur in multiple locations - if you are referring to pain from the sesamoid bone near the base of your toe, that is a common condition that is usually related to strain or stress. Ballet dancers, runners and athletes are most often affected. Treatment is to identify the source of stress and relieve it.
