A member asked:

Sesamoid pain for 2 yrs- 2 cortisone shots, boot (stress rxn), and pt. mri shows nothing. is the pain just in my head?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

We cant say that: Sesamoiditis is usually caused by increased pressure on the Sesamoids and associated with dull aching pain.Treated with limit the activity that causes the pain, non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs like naprosyn to relieve pain, soft soled low-healed shoes, use felt cushioning to relieve stress,PT& some times cortisone injections.Pain can get worse by activity.Follow up with your Podiatrist for it
