Probably OK but...: ...still best to see a doctor -- e.g. community clinic? But if just not possible and your symptoms are the same as with past UTI, that's probably what you have now. Nitrofurantoin (Macrobid) usually is effective, and drug or prescription expiration dates don't mean much if properly stored (e.g. not in hot glove compartment). But for sure get care if it doesn't clear symptoms within 4-5 days.
