Best to wait...: ...in case your doctor wants a culture test to confirm the diagnosis and determine best antibiotic. It takes antibiotics a couple of days to reduce symptoms of UTI. You'll probably do just as well by drinking lots of fluids to maintain high urine flow. You could also purchase phenazopyridine OTC, which will reduce pain and urgency (look for Azo® or similar products or ask the pharmacist).
