Needs to be checked: Reddish purple bump on the thigh may be an abscess,a hematoma secondary to trauma,a cyst or something else.We don't have enough information like how long you have had,how it started, any trauma, your occupation etc.And it needs to be examined and felt to be able to determine what caused that, and then advice appropriate treatment

See below: Agree with Dr. Khanna. You may wish to watch and wait. You may feel the bump every couple of days, if the bump doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other bumps appear, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor. Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex, if you have sex.
