A member asked:

With a tubal pregnancy will your hcg levels rise higher ? after you lose a tubal pregnancy natural how long will you bleed ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tubal pregnancy: The levels of HCG in tubal or other "ectopic" locations for a pregnancy are much lower than the levels in an intrauterine pregnancy, which explains why home pregnancy tests are sometimes negative. It is very important to check the HCG levels by a serum test to make sure the pregnancy is gone. See your ob/gyn provider for an exam to be certain.
