IUD pain/bldg: Any IUD can cause cramps and intermittent bleeding, especially if pushed into the cervical canal by uterine contractions. The IUD is usually in a stable location, but sexual activity with resultant strong uterine contractions can cause the IUD to be relocated in the cervical canal. See your GYN for an exam. The IUD may need to be again replaced.
