Cramps with Mirena: If the IUD was either inserted into the cervical canal instead of the uterine cavity, or has been dislocated from its intended place to the cervical canal by uterine contractions, it can be very painful, etc.. See the gyn who inserted the IUD for a pelvic ultrasound to be sure of the location, or simply have it removed and try another form of birth control.
