Need more info: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Neutrophil count is not useful in the diagnosis of thalassmia. You did not provide actual values of your red cells indices that might have helped in the diagnosis. Wish you good health!
