Dental abscess: A dental abscess can not be completely treated at home. If a dentist can see you today that would be ideal. If not they may be able to prescribe an antibiotic and/or pain killer as a short term solution. In the mean time keep this tooth clean with gentle brushing and warm salt water rinses. Avoiding sweet and sticky foods should help as well. Good luck.

See a dentist: A dental abscess most often requires dental care, not just antibiotics. Please see a local dentist at once to prevent further issues.

A telephone: The best thing you can take is a telephone, call a Dentist for an appointment. Abscess = infection. Antibiotics will slow spread of infection, but not cure it. You need professional care now, before the infection gets out of hand.
