A member asked:

Hi docs, would amoxicillin get rid of tooth abscess?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

NO: You must treat the source of the infection. The antibiotics will only be a temporary solution. A tooth abscess is normally treated with a root canal or extraction and possibly in conjunction with antibiotics.
