Are doctors comfortable with having breast ultrasound imaging and a biopsy in the same day?
A doctor has provided 1 answer
Yes.: While some patients will need blood work or to alter their current medication regimen prior to a biopsy, most could have it performed the same day as the ultrasound. Frequently they are not done the same day because of scheduling and/or billing logistics, not from a medical necessity.
