May get diarrhea: Pepcid Complete is a combination of Famotidine, calcium carbonate and magnesium hydroxide. You could safely take 4 times the dose of the famotidine and calcium carbonate, however more than 1200mg of magnesium hydroxide "may" cause diarrhea. Each pepcid complete has 400mg magnesium hydroxide, which is why your Dr said you could take 3 but not 4. If you are constipated, then go ahead and take 4!
