My doctor makes me take 2 medicine prilosec in the morning and pepcid at night did you ever hear of taking both? another doctor i went to said he never heard of taking both?

Yes: Depends on the severity of symptoms of acid reflux for example. Prilosec (PPI) and Pepcid (H2 blocker) are different classes of medications, I.e. they help one’s symptoms by different mechanisms. I have used the combination on a few patients who have continued severe symptoms despite use of either medication alone for a short period of time. Mainly used for patients that need extra help.
