My 6 yr old boy started 10mg la ritalin. no effect. increase to 20mg. made him hyperactive & loud at night. moved to 10mg sa methylin. develop phobias for insects, irritated with clothing and insecure and anxious. i don't recognise my son anymore.

If can be very: difficult to accurately assess children. If he has not had a comprehensive evaluation by a CHILD psychiatrist or psychologist - MOST STRONGLY - recommend that. He needs to have concurrent psychiatric disorders ruled out.
