You need good plan: It is possible to take all three medications safely. You want to be sure that you are under the care of a doctor who discusses the reasons that you are taking them, the game plan ( treatment plan ) , possible side effects as well as the advantage of additional mental health therapy.

Short-acting Ritalin (methylphenidate): works 20-60 min. after a dose, peaks at 1-2 hours & wears off in 3-4 hours. Irritability & anxiety are either side effects or rebound effects as dose wears off. Multiple daily doses must be taken 30 minutes before the prior dose wears off. Long- acting stimulants or non-stimulants that last 24/7 after 4-6 wks. are preferable, even for ADHD-Primarily Inattentive Type. Talk to your psychiatrist.
