See your doctor: Any time a lesion changes it is a good idea to have it evaluated by a health professional who can evaluate the condition and start appropriate treatment.

Of course, the pus: suggests that infection is/was present. And the manipulation itself would have caused soreness and swelling. Sometimes just the cleaning out is enough to allow the body's own healing, but usually a health professional needs to make that judgement with you. You need to be seen and have this probably infected lesion assessed. Good wishes:)
