It is recommended: that for best results on the h. pylori breath test that one avoid all antibiotics for two weeks prior to the test along with avoiding proton pump inhibitors, i.e. Prilosec and Nexium, etc. AND bismuth preparations such as Pepto Bismol. Hope this helps. Stay well:)
