Get it checked: We do not have enough information to advice you.But since you have been sick for two weeks with tummy cramps and it is nasty.I advice you that you get it checked by your Doctor.Drinking just lots of water may or may not be the right thing to do.We don't know if you have associated nausea or vomiting, diarrhea and if you are eating or not.

Stool test: Are you also having diarrhoea? It is not unusual for gastroenteritis (tummy bug) to go on for 7-10 days before it settles. I usually like my patients to submit a stool sample if it goes for longer than a week though because sometimes it is caused by a bug that needs treatment. There are a wide range of other possibilities so you should make an appointment to see your GP.

Examination: Of the abdomen is required. May well be some sort of tummy bug such as gastroenteritis - they can be prolonged although as said would do stools at this stage. Would also recommend assessment by GP as need to think about gastritis and even things like gallstones or urinary infection etc. Tests may need to be run to sort this. URgent attention if severe pain or fevers/chills.
