IDK: I don't know what it is without clinically examining you. Most likely a traumatic ulcer or canker sore. Could be lots of other things as well. Either see a dentist now for a definitive diagnosis and recommendations or wait to see if it goes away. Regardless, any lesion lasting more than two weeks needs to be evaluated for more serious conditions!

Inflamed taste bud: If it is small (1-2mm) and round, it is most likely an inflamed taste bud. While painful, they are harmless and usually resolve within 24-48 hours. As long as it is not spreading give it a day or two too resolve and avoid spicy and acidic foods. If still there after two days have it checked out by your dentist.
