Bump on gums: This may be due to an infected tooth. The only way to know for sure is to see a dentist for x-rays and a clinical exam. Make an appointment to see a dentist.

Sorry: "Bump" is not a particularly diagnostic description. Statistics, however, are on your side. Your lesion is in all probability benign. But just to be sure, have your Dentist or an Oral Surgeon evaluate it, if for no other reason than peace of mind. And if it is something serious, the sooner it's treated the better.
