A member asked:

Is taking ibuprofen, or naproxen, better for chronic osteoarthritis pain? what is the max dose of naproxen that can be taken in a day? thanks!

A doctor has provided 1 answer

NSAIDs for OA.: Either would be fine, as they both have both anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. Naproxen is twice daily dosing, so may be easier to take. Both should be taken with food. Maximum daily dose would be printed on the bottle.
