I have osteoarthritis. i have not been able to take any of the perscription meds or aleve (naproxen) due to stomach issues. i can take ibuprofen 600mg. this helps some but can't take very often. is there any other med that might be better for pain?

Many options: There are many approved medications for the treatment of osteoarthritis. But the number one treatment is exercise, so start with this. Swimming is the best. Then you may not even need any medication

Lots of options: Several of my patients with osteoarthritis (OA) struggle with taking anti inflammatory medications. Tylenol (acetaminophen) is always a good option. Supplements such as Curamin (decreases inflammation) or Glucosamine with Chondroitin also help people treat OA symptoms. Ice (cold therapy) to joints for 15-20 minutes is also great to decrease pain and inflammation.
