My consultant cardiologist in the uk wont explain if i have mitral valvular disease or not warnings in fostair 100/6 explains valvular heart disease talk to cardio or gp as i get sinustachycardia in salbutamol hes says not experienced in fostair ?

Yes: As long as a product contains a beta agonist, it has to potential to cause tachycardia for some people especially for those with MVP. However salbutamol and formoterol may may have different side effects and thus only a trial can tell. Perhaps you can start with just 1/2 dose and observe. I am concerned over Propranolol - tends to worsen asthma & render bronchodilator less effective.

Mgt: If your asthma is atopic (allergic), Singulair may be considered and this may lead to a lower dose of beta agonist needed. Avoid smoke and all allergic triggers. A virtual consult may be helpful to you and your PCP.
