Don't jump to: antibiotics without evaluation. In a 41 year old male - I wouldn't recommend just grabbing for an antibiotic. Take care.

Possibly: depends on the cause. The most common cause of difficulty urinating in men is an enlarged prostate. It can be caused by cold meds, infection (prostatitis), or just a large prostate. There could be other causes of obstruction making it difficult to urinate as well. Your Dr can check your urine for blood, infection and do a prostate check to determine what your best treatment will be.
