At age 33,: With no diverticula on your colonoscopy, I would look for another cause of persistent LLQ pain. It would be unusual to suffer from this condition at such a young age. And a colonoscopy should see signs of diverticula and diverticulitis in most cases.

How often is a Colonoscopy aborted because of a tortuous sigmoid colon fixed in position, and why? (both adult & pediatric colonoscope could not be advanced past the sigmoid colon despite being put in the supine position w/ multiple diverticula seen?
Friend had colonoscopy no cancer, polyps, no inflammation just multiple diverticula on sigmoid. Still needs to see surgeon to cut piece of colon why?
Colonoscopy showed a 2cm bulging in cecum. Biopsy was good. CT scan was unremarkable. It was noted that the loop of the sigmoid colon is located in the right quadrant, immediately beneath the cecum. GI wants a follow up, but won't explain why. Help?
