Doctor. bloody stool/rectal bleeding,history of pile/hard stools.i had ct scan colonography, showed faecolith in colon and a diverticulum. a dr suggested colonoscopy to get cause of bleeding but i am afraid of the risks.any other safer test. thanks?

No. Did they tell you about the radiation risks from CT? For a proper risk benefit analysis discuss with your Dr. Then you can weigh the risks and see.,include risk of dying from diverticula bleed or peritonitis from feacolith perforation. But only you and your Dr can do a proper risk analysis.
