Labs show elevated absolute monocytes 975. rbcs/hgb/hct are also slightly elevated. any ideas? i have sleep apnea and afib but otherwise healthy. i am on lipitor, coumadin, beta blocker. age 71.

Labs: Untreated sleep apnea is sufficient to raise your reds like this. This absolute monocytes count is not a problem if you feel well

My bro's recent labs show RBC's 3.84, Hgb 10.9 and hct 33.5 w/ platelets 561. With such a low red count, Hgb and Hct how anemic is he and what does the high platelet count mean? He was diagnosed with Sluders Syndrome, migrane and takes aspirin a lot?
