Have a water bump on the outer top part of ear. at first ear was jus hot and red, then it started swelling and then a liquid filled bump. any ideas?

Infection or cyst: You don't say if there was trauma first, but if there was no trauma, the swelling could be from an infection from a hair follicle or it could be a cystic lesion. Do yourself a favor and have a dermatologist evaluate the area to help eliminate the area.
