I suffer depression for no reason. on citalopram. when i have a drink.. the next day i feel obviously lil hung over but really down and irritable.?

Alcohol=depressant: Alcohol is a nervous system depressant and will make your efforts to counter depression an up-hill climb. It's definitely tempting to seek a short term relief from the stress, worry and symptoms but that comes with a significant long-term cost. Try engaging in the social aspect of going out without the alcohol, the social support and engagement in life may help but avoiding temptation is hard.
