I am taking citalopram 20 mg once a day for a month now but dont really see a diffrence in my depression or anxiety. i was thinking xanax (alprazolam) might help?

Give it time: Depression/anxiety medications in that class tend to take at least 4-6 weeks to start working. You may be a candidate for a higher dose or an additional medication, though, if you aren't feeling ANY change at 4 weeks. Check back in with your doc and let him/her know how you're feeling. Do yourself a favor, and stay away from the xanax (alprazolam).
