Do the chances of developing extrapyramidal symptoms associated with citalopram use increase with long term use of it? i have the same question for paroxetine. i.e. if citalop. has been working well for me for a few months how safe am i in long term?

Safe: The incidence of extrapyramidal symptoms (EPS) is low, but can occur with many antidepressants (and it's not higher for citalopram). There is some concern SSRI anti-depressants may make EPS more likely if other drugs that cause EPS are given at the same time.
