Paxil (paroxetine) should work: Paxil (paroxetine) is another good antianxiety/antidepressant medication, like celexa. It has a reputation as being especially calming, and may well work, if Celexa did not. I assume you are stopping celexa? Missing a dose of Paxil (paroxetine) can be uncomfortable, so be careful you get your prescriptions filled in time not to run out.

Maybe: Sometimes a person won't respond to any ssri drugs. Celexa & citalopram are very similar chemically. So failure to respond to both isn't too surprising. Paxil (paroxetine) is chemically different, so your response may be better. Failure to respond to any ssri can be treated with add-on medications such as "atypical antipsychotics" and methyl donors such as "same".

It will help.: May make you feel less anxious within a day or two. This is due to its calming side effect. That's why Paxil (paroxetine) is best used at bed. (only in am if you work nights). Helps you relax and sleep, which is an important part of healing and getting better, while the true antidepressant effect begins in 2-3 weeks out. But don't worry, restful nights & reducing anxiety is the start of recovery.
