Bad news, but..: You're partly right. The B-hcg should be doubling every 48 hours. Make sure your values were 2 days apart and not just 1 day! Assuming your practitioner ordered your tests 48 hours apart, this is ominous. Get an ultrasound to discover the location of the little rascal -- intrauterine, fallopian tube, or somewhere else. Assume it is non-viable, and prepare for a surgery if it causes big trouble!
