Would prefer if an obgyn would please answer. i am 5 weeks pregnant but my gp said it would most probably end in miscarriage as my hcg numbers werent doubling every 48 hours, but were only increasing by 35% every 48 hours. please advise.

HCG increases: Generally, beta HCG numbers do doubly increase every 48 hours in early pregnancy. However, your values are still increasing but slowly. If repeated values plateau or cramping and bleeding ensues then the "forecast" by your OB GYN MD will probably be accurate. The tincture of time is needed here to determine the outcome.

Could be: Could be inevitable... check at 7 weeks if no fetus then failed pregnancy
